Huge congratulations to Gemma on winning silver and bronze medals!
Epee:
Gemma Collis won silver! She did not fence in the poule rounds, as she was exempted based on the format and went directly into the DE rounds. She had a bye through the L32. In the L16, she won 15-9 against Rayssa Veras (BRA). In the L8, she won 15-6 against Duean Nakprasit (THA). In semi-finals, she won 15-9 against Chui Yee Yu (HKG), and made It to the finals where she lost to Sunmi Kim (KOR), securing the second position.
Emily Holder went 3V2D in the poule matches and made it to the DE rounds. In the L32, she lost to Irina Mishurova.
Sabre:
Gemma Collis won bronze! She did not fence in the poule rounds, as she was exempted based on the format and went directly into the DE rounds. She had a bye through the L32. In the L16, she fenced against Clemence Delavoipiere (FRA) and won 15-2. In the L8, she won 15-4 against Chui Yee Yu (HKG), and made it to the semi-finals, where she lost to Nino Tibilashvili (GEO).
Emily Holder went 3V2D in the poule matches and made it to the DE rounds. In the L32, she lost to Chisato Abe (JPN).
Foil:
Emily Holder went 3V2D in the poule matches and made it to the DE rounds. In the L32, she fenced against Panadda Srithong (THA) and won 15-14. In the L16, she lost to Nga Ting Tong (HKG).
Gemma Collis went 5V0D in the poule matches and had a bye through the L32. In the L16, she fenced against Ka Man Lam (HKG) and won 15-12. In the L8, she lost to Chui Yee Yu (HKG).
