Elite Epee Junior Series 4 at Moulton College

Congratulations to Kaeto Ngoka, Salma Wagdi and Joshan Hamed Barik for winning medals at the Elite Epee Junior Series.

In Girl’s U12:

Kaeto Ngoka went 2V1D in her poule, also gaining her a bye. She beat Bridget Chan in the L8, 10-6. She also won her Semi-Final match against Serena Wan Tao So, 15-7. Kaeto just missed out on a gold medal, losing 10-9 to Yuk Kwan Anna Lam.

Salma Wagdi went 4V1D in the poule matches, meaning she got a bye through the L16. In the L8 she beat Marla Thompson 10-4. In the Semi-Final she lost to Yuk Kwan Anna Lam, 10-8.

In Boy’s U12:

Joshan Hamad Barik went 5V1D in his poule. He got a bye through the L16 and then went on to comfortably win his L8 match 10-1. He lost his Semi-Final match 4-3 to Derek Adio

Ryan Lian went 1V4D in the poule round. In the L16 he won his match against Arthur Ba Hy Phan, 10-9. In the L8 he lost 10-5 to Derek Adio.

Antonios Moraitis went 2V3D in the poules. In the L16 he won 10-7 against Marvin Lit Hang Tang. In the L8 he lost to Federico Asset 9-2.

In Cadet Girls:

Kaeto Ngoka went 4V2D in the poule matches. She got a bye through the L64 and then clutched a 15-14 win over Matilda Careless in the L32. She also won her L16 match 15-14 against Gwenan Stewart. She continued her streak of winning close matches, winning 15-13 against Lucinda Fielding in the L8. Her competition finished in the Semi-Final, losing 15-9 against Eleanor Scott.

Xanthe Trim went 4V2D in her poule, getting her a bye through the L64. In the L32 she went out to Macy Roper, losing 15-9.

In Cadet Boys:

James Martin went 3V3D in the poules. He got a bye which took him through to the L32 where he lost to Benjamin Geens 15-11.

In Elite Epee Men’s Senior competition:

Luca Pellegrinello went 4V1D in the poule matches. He then went on to win his L64 match 15-2 against Jay Carey. In the L32 he won a close match against his teammate James Gowen, 15-14. In the L16 he just missed out on progressing, losing 15-14 to James Euan Russel.

William Ferguson went 1V4D in the poule matches. In the DEs he won his L64 math 15-12 against Luke Silver. In the L32 he beat Maxwell Rowe-Haynes, 15-12. He then went on to the L16, where he lost 15-9 to King His Wong.

James Gowen went 3V2D in the poules. In his L64 match he beat Zalan Zeno Farago 15-9. He then unfortunately met his teammate, Luca Pellgrino in the L32, narrowly losing 15-14.

Samuel Luckman went 5V1D in the poules. He then lost in the L64 15-14 to Gaz Morris.

Philip Jordan went 3V2D in his poule. He lost to Tobias Berry in the L64, 15-8.

Matt Henderson went 3V3D in the poule matches. In the L64 he lost 15-11 to George Carpenter.

Hugh Kernohan went 1V5D in the poule matches. In the L64 he lost to Henry De Bono 15-13.
