We had two veterans enter the Warsaw International Open: Jeremy Baker and Simon Pink.

Jeremy won three and lost two in the poules, gaining a bye into the 16. He won his first DE against Dirk Wattenberg (GER) 10-6. He then won his L8 match against the second seed, Maciej Drapella (POL) 10-7. In the semi final he lost to Jan Falck-Ytter 10-7, securing a very impressive bronze medal.

Simon also had three victories and two defeats in his poule. After receiving a bye he fenced in the L16 where he fenced Sergei Melnikov, losing 10-5.
