Georgina Usher and Graham Paul Won Bronze Medal at the World Championships

Congratulations to Georgina Usher and Graham Paul winning bronze medals at the Manama 2025 Veteran World Championships – Vet-50 Women’s Individual Epee!

Epee:

Georgina Usher won bronze! She went 6V0D in the poule matches and had a bye through the L64. In the L32, she fenced against Svitlana Kuzmichova (UKR) and won 5-4. In the L16, she won 10-6 against Heidi Chang (USA). In the L8, she won 10-6 against Annalisa Avancini (ITA) and made it to the semi-finals where she lost to Natalya Concharova (KAZ), securing the third position.

Hugh Kernohan went 2V4D in the poule matches and had a bye through the l128. In the L64, he fenced against Hubert Guy (FRA) and won 10-8. In the L32, he won 10-4 against Bela Suveg (CAN). In the L16, he lost to Gerald Hinz (GER).

Jeremy Baker went 2V3D in the poule matches and made it to the DE rounds. In the L64, he lost to Jan Tivenius (SWE).

Hugh Kernohan also participated in the team tournament as a part of Team GBR. In the L16, team GBR lost to team SUI.

Foil:

Graham Paul won bronze! He went 5V1D in the poule matches and had a bye through the L64. In the L32, he fenced against Adrian Finch (AUS) and won 9-8. In the L16, he won 8-6 against Gyorgy Liptak (HUN). In the L8, he won 7-5 against Joseph Streb (USA) and made it to the semi-finals, where he lost to Paul Wedge (GBR), securing the third position.
