Jon is a two-time World Cup winner and multiple British Champion. As part of his international career, Jon spent three years living and training in Heidenheim, Germany. Now a Director of UK Fencing Project,Jon handles to financial management of Salle Paul Phoenix. Still working in the fencing arena, Jon is also the lead fencing coach to Pentathlon GB based at the national centre in Bath. When he is not in Bath, he can be seen at the club on Saturday mornings in his coaching jacket, giving lessons to epee fencers.

Originally from Ukraine, Anastasiia is a passionate epee fencer and International referee. She has a Masters in Sports Business Management from The University of Bath and is known to the club staff as the ‘Admin Queen’. Anastasiia keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes and can occasionally be seen on piste in the evening with an epee in hand.

Pete has been fencing since 1974, during which time he has won county, regional, junior and open competitions in UK and abroad. Since training at Salle Paul Phoenix, Pete has fenced in two Veteran World Championships. As club secretary, Pete checks in and looks after the needs of members and visitors to the club. When not working he enjoys researching his family tree and taking city breaks.

Daria is our lead for member welfare, frequently found at the club during evening sessions and weekend events. She holds a Master’s degree in Physiology and is a seasoned “fencing parent” to her four children. Daria’s combination of academic expertise and firsthand experience with the competitive fencing circuit makes her an invaluable resource for our club’s safety and support standards.

A dedicated member of the Salle Paul Phoenix community, Yassin volunteers his time fulfilling  vital administrative roles. On club nights, he supports operations from the front office, and he takes the lead in coordinating our monthly competitions. At weekends he is the visionary behind the Salle Paul Phoenix café at events hosted at the Leon Paul Fencing Centre.
