Bronze for Georgina in the Women’s Epee Team!

Veteran Women’s Epee

Georgina Usher represented GBR in the Veteran Women’s Epee team event.  The team had an excellent poule, winning all three of the matches. They were seeded first going into the DEs and faced Denmark in the L16. They won the match 45-20 and moved on to the L8 against Ukraine, winning 45-39. In the Semi-Final they came up against a strong Italy team and lost 45-30. The team fought for a bronze medal against Sweden and they finished with a 45-42 victory, securing a third place finish.

Veteran Men’s Sabre

Mo Mansoori was our representative in the GBR Men’s Sabre team. They won one of their three poule matches and were seeded seventh going into the knockouts. Their L16 was against Spain and the team won 45-34. They exited the competition in the L8, losing 45-33 to France.

Grand Veteran Men’s Epee:

We had two fencers who represented GBR in this event: Hugh Kernohan and Simon Pink. In the poules they managed to win two of their three matches and seeded fifth. Unfortunately they lost in the L16 45-36 to the Netherlands.

Grand Veteran Men’s Foil:

Graham Paul was our final club member that competed for GBR. The team went 3V3D in their poule and seeded second. Their L8 was against Switzerland and they lost the match 45-41.
