Elite epee success!

U-14 BRC C:

Salma Wagdi had 4V1D in her pool. She had a bye through the T32, and then kept her winning streak with the first victory against Naomi Francis 12-11, then 12-7 against Grace Patterson. She unfortunately lost to Katroine Hung 12-8 and finished the day with the Bronze medal!

 

Luis Gomes-Alfredo went 4V1D and had a bye through. In the next round he faced Rory Mitchell, but unfortunately lost.

 

Nick Yin had 2V3D. He later went onto winning his first DE 12-6 against Oliver Wright. Unfortunately lost to Vincent Smith in the T16.

 

Antonios Moraitis 2V3D and afterward got just unlucky to lose in the first DE.

 

Cadets

 

James Martin won gold! He won all 4 matches in the pool and had a bye through the T32. In the next round he beat Damian Tovar 8-4. In the semi-finals he defeated Amaury Delattre (15-11), and in the final with a very close score of 15-14 he beat Xander  D’Cruze-Reeves. 

 

Seraphine Mathew got bronze medal! In the pool she had 3V1D and had a bye through T16. On her way to the semi-finals she defeated Jessica Lewandowska by just 1 touch (15-14). In the semi-finals she unfortunately lost to Anike Thompson 15-12.

 

U-12

Joshan Barik had all victories and was seeded 1st after the pool. He comfortably won his first DE by 10-2. In the semi-finals he had a tough match against his clubmate Nick Yin and won 10-8. However in a very close final match he lost 10-7 to Bear Ray.

 

Nick Yin had 4V2D in the pool and then easily beat Nicholas Fielding 9-3 in the DE and in the semi-finals faced his friend Joshan to whom he lost 10-8 securing bronze medal!

 

U-10

 

In the mixed U-10 pool, Hanna Barik had 6V1D which seeded her 1st in the DE. She beat Majid Zachary 7-5 and got her way to the semi-finals where she faced Zand Etemand Emami and won 10-5. Unfortunately the final match wasn’t easy for Hanna and she lost to Garrick Leung securing silver medal!

 

Senior Epee

 

Giuseppe Cotugno went 4V2D in the pool and had a bye through the first round. After he beat Billy Douglass in a close fight 15-13. In T16 he unfortunately lost to Farago Bence.

 

Richard Roseblade had  a good pool with 4V2D and had a bye through the first DE. He then beat Tom Christ 12-8 and got into T16 when he lost to Nicholas Chan.

 

Pete Eames went 1V4D in the pool and had a bye through. In the T32 he lost to Darran Milne.
